Merry Christmas From Abby Rose Designs!

What a chilly day we are having here in South Texas! I have decided to stay in today and keep warm with a nice hot cup of tea and work on some new designs that will debut in January.
I would like to thank everyone who has purchased my designs this year! It was a great year for Abby Rose Designs and I look forward to designing for you in the new year!

One of the things I like to do is get organized for the new year.  I look forward to this every year.  It always feels like a new beginning.  So over the last few days I have been cleaning and organizing my "Abby Rose Room", as my husband calls it.  It's not huge, but I have found that you can get a lot of stuff in a small space!
"Abby Rose Room"

I really like my table...my portable sewing machine fits easily and is the perfect height to sew. Not that I sew very well but I am making an effort to learn.  I also have a small T. V. and stereo that I listen to while folding charts and packaging them.  My black filing cabinet keeps all my extra charts organized so I am ready to fill an order.  I can't remember where I bought it but it is a lateral file and very handy.

This is my antique sewing machine that my husband bought for me a couple of years ago....and a whole of Abby Rose files underneath it!  And yes....I love candles!  I have many....scented, battery operated and I still am always looking for more. You can never have too many.  I don't know why! I just like them.
There is nothing better than playing in your own room with the things that you love..... Most days you can find me here, working away, listening to my "Downton Abby" sound track CD.  If you don't have it, you can purchase it from PBS.  It is sooooo good.  I have three... I fear something will happen to it.

Finally, I wanted to let you know that I will be teaming up with Jan Alexander of Tree of Life Samplings for the "Inspired Sampler Club" through the Inspired Needle in Lemont, Illinois.  Jan will design the first kit that will be offered in February and I will do a kit in April.  There will be 6 kits total in this club.  Three from each of us.  For more information on how to sign up for this club, contact, Cathy at the Inspired Needle.

Hoping you have a very Merry Christmas!
